Sketch Writing Workshop
Description
From emails to text messages, the written word is a part of everyday life, but did you know that writing can also be fun?! This workshop, led by longtime Crawlspace Eviction member Bannon Backhus, does away with all of those things that can take away from the enjoyment of writing (Who cares if you participle is dangling?) and instead focuses on creativity, inspiration and, of course, comedy.
Through group discussion, exercises and writing outside of the workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to create FOUR different comedy sketches, each one benefiting from both group and one-on-one feedback. And the workshop ends with an invitation-only reading, where you’ll be able to share one of those sketches with friends and family. If you’re interested in having some serious fun with your own writing and being seriously supportive of the work of others, join this workshop and never look at writing the same way again!
