Discovering The Scene Class

In this class you’ll step beyond inventing the who, what, and where. Instead, you’ll explore how truth in the moment reveals the heart of a scene. By tuning into your partner’s emotions and body language, you’ll uncover authentic connections and find the real specifics that drive the work forward. Learn to react honestly, trust the relationship you discover with your partner, and let that relationship guide where the scene goes. Graduation from Level 4 Improv required.

How long is the class and when does it start?

This is a 5 week class and will meet for 2.5 hours on Wednesdays from 6:30pm to 9:00pm.

Brian Duguay is a longtime member and teacher at Crawlspace Comedy Theatre. With 25 years of experience studying, performing, and directing in New York City, he brings a deep understanding of improvisation, performance, and ensemble work. His teaching emphasizes listening, presence, and connection, offering students tools to grow both on stage and off.
