Canned Champagne

Much like their namesake, Canned Champagne is classy, yet down to earth; effervescent, yet digestible; bursting with flavor, yet sturdy in their aluminum casing. Known for their high energy and sense of fun, they light up the stage with every performance.

When you come to a Canned Champagne show, expect high energy and high hijinks! A mix of short-form and long-form improv comedy, an evening with Canned Champagne is never the same. Laugh along as they blaze new trails with fresh games, bold characters, and worlds that haven’t been explored… yet.

Audience participation is always part of the hilarity, as the team crafts their scenes from suggestions directly taken from the crowd. They won’t always be PG-13, but they’ll always care about the safety and comfort of their audience regarding controversial subject matters and celebrating all people from all walks of life.

The team is composed of a sparkling six-pack of gifted improvisers, all trained through Kalamazoo’s Crawlspace Comedy Theatre improv program. Founded in 2022, this group has performed in theatres and clubs across Michigan. They even won the title of Lip Sync Assassins at Dormouse Theatre’s first-ever Lip Sync Battle show in September 2024 and kept their title intact in February 2025.

Flavors come in:

• “Kristine,” a short drink, colorful, with bold notes of leadership and zest.
• “Mike,” a mixed blend of improviser, writer, and producer, this drink is a tried and true crowd-pleaser.
• “Cathy,” a classic vintage, with a strong build that packs a spicier kick than some drinkers might expect.
• “Julia,” a bright drink, full-bodied and sharp, that might (accidentally) knock you off your feet.
• “Christianna,” an extra-sweet refreshment, with a bubbliness that will sizzle and energize!
• “Matt,” a tall drink, drier, with nutty notes, a deceivingly subtle flavor that packs a comedic punch.

Always entertaining, silly and intoxicating, Canned Champagne wants its audience to leave a show drunk on laughter – with no hangover!
