Saying Yes With Your Whole Body
Saturday | 10:00am-12:30pm
Instructor: Diana DePasquale (Dish)
How are you currently saying yes to your scene partner’s initiations? Are you using the tone in your voice? Or the look on your face? Are you moving or standing still? In this workshop we’ll focus on the ways we can use our entire body to communicate agreement, pleasure, joy, and rage (and many others!).
High-Energy, Organic Improv
Saturday | 10:00am-12:30pm
Instructor: Josh Keidan (Dish)
Often the highest energy scenes are ones in which players quickly invent a world. How can we keep things high energy, keep making strong choices, while improvising organically, discovering the world of the scene rather than inventing it? This workshop will focus on helping improvisers explore and discover together as they create scenes that build organically and collaboratively. It is particularly aimed at improvisers who find themselves “in their head” at times.
Get Connected
Saturday 1:00-3:30pm
Instructors: Scott & Mark Piebenga (Piebenga Plumbing)
Improv scenes come in all shapes and sizes; short or long, fast or slow, loud or quiet. But in all cases they benefit from connecting with your scene partner. This workshop will focus on tuning in to your scene partner to discover the fun and unusual. The brothers Mark and Scott Piebenga share their experience from performing their two man show together for 7 years.
